Arsenal vs Newcastle United

Arsenal are without a win in their last three Premier League outings but can leap back into the top four if they beat Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

A 0-0 stalemate at West Ham United on Wednesday left the Gunners in seventh place, and Arsene Wenger’s side are in desperate need of a resurgence entering the tough winter schedule.

Fortunately for them, there isn’t a team in the top flight in a worse vein of form than Newcastle, who have lost five and drawn one of their last six league games.

Mark Mann-Bryans of the Press Association provided further details from Wenger, who confirmed centre-back Shkodran Mustafi could be fit to feature against Newcastle, although the verdict on Ramsey’s chances wasn’t so promising.

The most prominent absence for Rafael Benitez’s side will be that of midfielder Jonjo Shelvey after he received a red card in Wednesday’s 1-0 defeat to Everton. Injury data analyst Ben Dinnery provided quotes from the Magpies manager:
